So for those who are planning to undergo for a domain name registration, some important things specifically about the basics or the ABCs of the domain name registration must be paid attention. Knowing the ABCs of domain name registration will help you to pick up the right domain name and at same time for an easy and smooth process of domain name registration.

First things first, before you go for a domain name registration it is important that you know the nature of the domain name. So what it is? The domain name is basically the address on the internet. It is generally composed of two major parts, the top level domain name and the mid level domain name or the second level domain. For example, in , the “.com” is the top level domain, and the “yourdomain” is the second level domain.

Speaking of the top level domain name since this plays a large role in picking the right domain name for domain name registration; many experts have noted that before you go for a domain name registration, you should identify your top level domain. The .com is the most common top level domain that is used today, for it stands for commercial domains. Of course there are other types and each has its own uses and functions.

Moreover, when you go for a domain name registration, you should know that the domain name that is entered into the domain name registration contact information is added to a database of all the available domain names. As such, your contact, billing, administrative contact, and also your domain name server or DNS is added to this database. It is for the main reason that when someone lookup for a website, you are basically accessing this large database for all of the domain names entered through a domain name registration, and such database directs you to the necessary DNS to access their database to locate which computer your website is on.

Also of important consideration for a successful domain name registration is the awareness that a domain name may contain letters, numbers, and hyphen. Most of the domain names registered today end in the above top level domains, of which .com is the most well-known. Before a domain name registration, you should refresh your mind that a domain name cannot start or end with a hyphen, and no space is permitted before, between, and after your domain. And also you can have characters in your domain name registration for up to 67 characters, however, it is noted that the shorter the domain name, the better. So try to keep it below that length for greater compatibility.

Secrets of Making Huge Profits Flipping Expired Domains

There is a huge potential in making cool money just flipping expired domain names. Once the appropriate research is done with taking the right steps making money from these domains that are no longer used can be guaranteed. Just like the normal real estate around us, one can make good money by just identifying good expired domains, purchasing them, and working on them before selling for a higher value. Expired domain names are sites that have been previously registered by another owner who had lost them commonly due to non-payment of domain name renewal fees.

There are several ways one can work on these website addresses to make money from them. There are very important things one must consider and have in perspective whenever we are developing these names to sell. This to a very large extent determines how much the eventual domain name maybe worth. Some of the things to consider carefully include -:

Top Level Domains -: As a rule of thumb, it is more profitable to scout for top level domains (website names that end with dot com) when looking for expired domain names to buy. A lot of web masters and businesses are more interested in these types of domains than any other kind of domain name. They are a lot easier to sell than most of the other domain types and of course they are usually more expensive.
Keywords -: The search for domain names should be centered on keywords you are interested in. Keywords are very important in web traffic and identity. Everybody wants to have a domain name that can easily be identified on the internet. It is also a lot easier for a keyword centered domain name to attract traffic especially search engine traffic than one that is not centered on any keyword. A good keyword research tool can be very useful for this.
Length of Domain Name -: The length of the name should be as short as possible. It is easier for anybody to remember a short domain name than a long one. This also contributes immensely in attracting search engine traffic.
Avoid Names with Figures -: The acquisition of websites containing figures should be greatly limited as not so many people are usually interested in these kinds of website addresses. You may end up finding it difficult to sell it later.
Existing Traffic: Domain names with existing traffic are usually a hot cake. Anytime you come across these kinds of domains, buy them quickly. This is because one can even take advantage of that traffic to make some money before selling them off eventually. There are various ways which one can monetize traffic. Some of these methods are discussed below.
Traffic Redirection: This involves redirecting or rechanneling the web traffic from an acquired domain to a new domain that may be fully monetized with advertising programs like Google Adsense, or affiliate marketing programs, or any other program designed to make money for the website owner. This can be done pending when the domain will eventually be sold.
Domain Parking: This involves temporarily directing your website to a particular site that will display adverts on your domain. You get paid whenever anybody clicks on such adverts. This method can also be used for acquired domains that already have existing traffic. This can continue till whenever you may decide to sell off the domain name. There a lot of domain parking services available on the internet.
Listing for sale: There are several places where one can list a domain for sale. Some of these places include forums, merchant sites etc. There are a lot of places where one can list and sell domain names

Park Domains ? Yes, No, Maybe?

Park Domains ? Yes, No, Maybe?

Wondering if you should or should not park domains? Is it worth the hassle? Have you logged into your domain registrar account lately? Surprised at how many park domains are listed there? Do you wonder where they all came from? Does it start to dawn on you as to why your PayPal account is always drained? Because you are paying to keep up so many domain names!

If you have registered a domain name you are left with that name for a minimum of one year depending on how long you chose to register it for.

Now you have a few options of what you can do with all these domains taking over your financial accounts.

1.      Complete your web site

2.      Put up an ‘Under Construction’ message.

3.      Park domain at your registrar.

4.      Sell your domain.

5.      Park domain using a domain parking service.

1) First you could flesh out that idea that seemed so great six months ago (hmmm). You may have gotten a burst of energy, but it is unlikely that you are going to all of a sudden jump on that task that you have been putting off for months on end. And even if you do it will take time and you still need to do something with your domain in the meantime.

2) You could put up a web page on your domain that alerts users that the site is under construction. The only issue with this is that it is tough enough getting traffic to your site when the site has been developed, much less getting traffic to a site that has nothing on it. And it is highly unlikely people are going to keep checking back later to see if your web site is done. There are just too many other web sites and distractions on the internet for that. Not to mention you will have to pay for web hosting for the domain name unless you have a hosting plan in place already.

3) You can just park domain at your registrar. A viable option except that your registrar is going to fill your domain with advertisements and if your page does get any traffic and if that traffic generates revenue through the advertisements on your page then your registrar is going to be the one making the money. Hardly seems fair does it? You had the idea, you paid to register the domain and your registrar is making money off of advertising on your page. Now some of them may share the revenue with you but they will often charge you a fee for this privilege. Now I don’t mind sharing, but having to pay to share just doesn’t sit well with me.

4) You can always sell your domain name but unless your name is a well sought after domain name or receives a lot of traffic, it is unlikely that you will get much more than what you paid for it.

5) Well there is a fifth option that will fit the bill until you find the time and energy to work that once great idea. You can park domains with a domain parking service that will pay share any revenue with you that your page generates. The most popular domain parking service today is Sedo. Sedo will let you park your domain names and offer to share the revenue with you. You also have the option of selling your domain as well as parking your domains to generate revenue. Now it is highly unlikely you are going to get rich off this service but for minor changes you can have the chance of making a little extra money instead of spending it.

Sedo is free to sign up with. Of course there is a fee if you would like to aggressively advertise your domain for sale, but a basic account for listing your domain name for sale and generating money through advertising is free. After you are signed up with your account it is just a matter of going to your domain registrar and entering the Sedo’s name servers. They will provide you with this information. Then you can head back on over to Sedo to manage your domain.

Like I mentioned before, it is unlikely you will be out house hunting next week, but if you park domains you could generate a bit of extra spending cash…you know the extra cash your kids seem to be in dire need of.

Earn Money With Domain Investing

Domain investing, what? how?
The purpose of domain investing is that you invest your money for a domain, domain certainly here not just any domain name but the domain with a unique name or domain that has a name with specific keywords. At 2011 in proclaim this domain name list for the three letters has been exhausted. This is because the people who have thought over the years had previously been thought that one day the name will be exhausted. So they buy many domains.

And now they can feel that advantage. Domain names run out, while to start a business on the internet in need of a good domain. memorable for others and reflect the identity of our business.

Now we can see the unique place of domain sales is very much not only in sales but in the auction, the auction system is certainly very profitable party selling because the price can exceed the price offered. But however people need to start a business of his, any price domain if the owner suitable liver must be purchased.

Some places existing domain auction today I will not explain you can look through a search engine with keywords “domain auction” or “sell domain”.

Although now run out 3 letter domain name, you can perform a second yes it is looking for a unique domain name. unique name not be short, but you can use a name that has a meaning for example: friendsgenic.com
of the name we can know maksut of the domain name, Friends = friendship and genic = create / make friendships

From these names we can conclude the intent of the creator of a domain is to register a domain for use on social networking websites, dating, public forums, social groups.

Very easy for us to think of a name that has a high sales value, but now the problem is to register these domains is very difficult, not difficult because the process but because of the good domains have been registered by someone.

Now how to invest our money. If we can not register a unique domain name start with something clever, find domain names at domain auction at a price that is relatively cheap considering the names that have high sales value. You can pick and choose. then buy that domain.

Once you buy a domain that is certainly not cheap back then you sell domain is certainly a price that is relatively more expensive than ever. Advice from me, do not be too expensive lucky few important domain directly sold some time.

How do you choose and how you sell back the keys to success in leading you to invest. Good luck with your new business and wish you success with your business. Good luck.
